Heirloom Anthology

Preserving Cultures, Sustaining Lives.

Savor traditions ancient and enduring, re-envisioned to accent your style. It’s a time for gathering—of friends and family, styles and centuries. Skilled artisans sustain their craft by passing from one generation to the next, adapting form and color to contemporary taste. Multicultural references add depth and intricacy to functional creations. Pieces in this collection echo time-honored motifs and methods sustained through centuries. Reverse-painted glass, etched ceramics and intricate embroidery add a touch of timeless elegance. Warm-toned metallics feature etched designs and antique finishes—evoking the patina of age through artful innovation. Basketry, wood and stone add to the saturated warmth of the entire collection. Classic motifs infuse Heirloom Anthology with a sense of permanence and intrigue.

Saturday May 8 is World Fair Trade Day. Find out more about our in-store event by clicking here.

Ten Thousand Villages in Pasadena, CA, is a fair trade retailer of artisan-crafted home decor, personal accessories and gift items from across the globe. Featuring products from 131 artisan groups in some 38 countries, we are part of a network of 156 retail outlets throughout the United States selling Ten Thousand Villages products.

As one of the world’s oldest and largest fair trade organizations, Ten Thousand Villages has spent more than 60 years cultivating trading relationships in which artisans receive a fair price for their work and consumers have access to distinctive handcrafted items. We seek to establish long-term buying relationships in places where skilled artisans are under- or unemployed, and in which they lack other opportunities for income. A founding member of IFAT- the World Fair Trade Organization, Ten Thousand Villages sees fair trade as an alternative approach to conventional international trade.
